FGS Family Pods

We are here to break down all achievement barriers. We welcome ALL first-generation, low-income HS sophomores, juniors, and seniors to sign up for this! We want to serve all students, no matter their grades/achievements. 

If you are in college, we welcome you to apply as a family pod leader! You are in charge of mentoring HS seniors as well as facilitating the entire pod. You will gain valuable leadership experience + volunteer hours. Sign up here 

All family members are committing 2 hours every week for the first 8 weeks. After that, all family members are committing 1-2 hours per week. 

You will receive valuable insights from students from the grade above you so you are on the right path to pursue a competitive 4-year institution. 

You will mentor the sophomores/juniors in high school and gain volunteer hours. You will also receive college application guidance from the college mentors so you can succeed in the college application process. 

You will lead the entire pod, facilitate the minority-centric curriculum, and guide the high school seniors in the college application process. We will guide you with weekly curriculums on what students should do every week.
